Sounds exactly like taxation without representation.

The past storyline barely needs mention. It was a quaint inside joke. Next!

There is no way I’d let a robot load my dishwasher. That job is *mine*.

I remember when my youngest was about 8 or so, he said if he won $100 million, he would keep $1 million, bury the rest, and leave tiny hints so everyone could search for it.

Apartment parking lot + sheet of aluminum foil + charcoal + dutch oven = revolution. Take back your rights.

There are lots of things to fear these days, but fearing that Snoop Dogg will be boring is an interesting choice.

I’m learning about the technology now. It’s amazing.

I wear my favorite shirt the day after laundry day pretty consistently, until it’s no longer presentable. Then it can become my go bag shirt, for when disaster strikes and I’m about to lose everything but what’s in the bag.

Sure. What’s Buffalo got to be proud about? And what’s the deal with San Diego being “America’s finest city”? Or Columbus being in the center of it all. The center of what?

My dog howls when hears sirens, or the ice cream truck.

Just a guess based on amalgamation of some past career fairs I’ve been involved in. The org puts it together to show they’re doing something. The employers come because it’s a good networking experience for them and makes their employer look relevant. The last minute reveal is there are no jobs.

Seems like a lot of missing data. Is the average Starbucks worker wage based on global workforce? It seems like it would likely be much higher if US only. Also, how many employees? If CEO took a 50% salary reduction and the difference was spread amongst employees, how much would salary increase?

I also graduated from college in 1989. I remember the first opportunity to register for classes was by mail. My strategy was to tend to pick the oddball choices. Then we’d get a second opportunity, to register in person, with available classes written on whiteboards in the quad.

I remember, as a California girl, going to work in my aunt’s Sonic drive-in in Mississippi one summer. 113 degrees and my aunt had the only place to sit. No AC, and everyone having to work around a hot grill. I took a break to sleep in her van and woke up because I couldn’t breathe. Dangerous.

Union Station, Little Tokyo, Chinatown, Arts District, Olvera St, the cathedral, Disney Concert Hall….8pm is awfully early to roll up the carpet. We were out to dinner in our sleepy little town up the coast during those hours. This is sure to impact lives and livelihoods.

That was Camp Pendleton Marines. Not sure if this instead of or in addition to. If it’s instead of, that could be interesting.
