ISPD - 40 years of empowering patients on dialysis worldwide
This video has been created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the ISPD in 2024. It focuses on the testimonials from different patients on dialysis who share why they choose peritoneal dialysis, and how this modality of dialysis at home has a positive impact on their lives, by making them more independent, more autonomous, and able to continue with their lives with minimum impact. Patients like them were the reason why the ISPD was created in 1984, and we hope this video is a source of inspiration for every ISPD member and every health professional working in PD, to see how their tireless work affects the lives of their patients. We want to thank all the patients who collaborated with us in the creation of this video by sharing their experiences with us. Also to every doctor and nurse who helped us contact their patients, record the videos, and transcribe the testimonials. Finally, thanks to Dr. Anabela Malho, Dr. Fadhlina Zakaria, and our ISPD staff member Armelle Liénard; the three of them coordinated this project and worked with Mint Design to create this compelling video.
