I feel the same. I feel like you could cut out half of the game and the narrative would actually be better for it. The humor in a lot of places also just doesn’t really jive with me. It’s really buggy too, but it has a ton of heart put into it. You can tell the people who made it needed it to exist

My roommate just finished umineko today after 4 years and I would occasionally look at his screen during the last 2 episodes and every time I’d just see the weirdest shit ever and hear banger music coming from his headphones and I just had to accept it each time

It’s my favorite game. Knowledge-based games (I refuse to call them metroidbrainias) are just kind of the most fun genre since they have the most potential when it comes to just playing around with ideas as a developer, and Outer Wilds is kind of the pinnacle of that
