Had to put down The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle sadly it just wasn't sticking. Planning to return to it later. I think it was a bit of long book anxiety. So now I'm reading Elantris, an even longer book :)

update: finished reading between two fires and norwegian wood (murakami not lars mytting). Loved BTF and felt more room temp on NW. The more Murakami I read however the more I feel like I get out of his writing. It was the third book I'd read from him but I didn't not understand the hype really.

Between two fires is SO insane and I’m loving it so far. More bloodborne vibes than I could have anticipated. Some seriously mind bending scenes of hellish, cosmic, medieval nightmares 🤙

almost done reading murakami's memoir about running. Short and sweet in my opinion! perfect book to get back into reading for myself. i enjoy reading on my phone but had to upgrade to a little kindle because it kept dying. looking forward to jailbreaking the thing lol f amazon and the ads.

just finished the invisible life of addie larue! unfortunately the things i enjoyed most were reserved for the second half of the book, following a drawn out first half. still glad i read it though! jumping into Walden by Henry David Thoreau next (this has been on my reading list since i was 13)

started reading a lot for the first time since high school but noticed that my eyes constantly drift to other lines of text. it's bad enough that i squint my eyes just to blur my peripheral vision enough to read uninterrupted?
