I had a lot of fun reading The Tommyknockers in 9th grade. My literature teacher was horrified by the story but was quite impressed with a kid choosing a huge novel as elective reading.
My favorites are The Stand and Dark Tower The Waste Lands. Desperation may be the scariest.

I got out of work at 17:15 yesterday and it was not completely dark. I can go back to enjoying the winter now 🤭

#FossilFriday at Wardie Bay with @edinburgh-uni.bsky.social geoscience students. We found Stigmaria roots, fossil coprolites, some fern leaves, and even a fish! The weather was nice and all.

My husband is playing football, my son actually went to sleep, I'm in the dark with tea and chocolate enjoying the hell out of this.

I'm only half way through it. It's so good. You guys are hilarious.

Leaving the book collection is in the top 3 traumatic events of moving countries. Rebuilding it is nice though 🤭

The plot may be questionable, but the soundtrack is amazing.
