I always forget Canada also has universal healthcare! Yeah but I get why you didn’t. It’s just… I really can’t wrap my mind around being sick AND needing to worry about the possibility that it can make me go bankrupt.

In the meantime, a resident of France (and a freelancer without any type of insurance):
Went to the doctor after some routine blood work, all good but some vitamins needed; at the pharmacy to get them “oh I see you have no insurance! Sorry but you’re gonna have to pay 2 euro, I’m so so sorry.”
