Counterpoint: no, he most certainly is NOT yet dead, and while her continuing until he were would perhaps not be karmically unwarranted, I think I'd settle for her bowing out at total asset forfeiture, and hermetic (reflective?) seclusion.

At this point, this shit would likely embarrass even Lucy Van Pelt.

Yeah it was, but this is his slightly more neighborly horse head to reinforce the point? I suppose we'll see in pretty short order how well it works.
Folks: The pardons are almost certainly focused on GA (they include a number of people implicated ONLY in GA), where the state will soon decide whether to appoint someone to take over the case.
They should be meaningless, but Cleta Mitchell (a key ringleader in GA and still) wanted them anyway.

As frustrated as I was with Durbin not stepping aside for Whitehouse atop SJC post-2020, that Durbin was still getting the job done in some meaningful ways. Age really caught up to him fast these past five years.

It's hard not to read the timing as a slightly less flagrantly criminal analogue of the Raffensperger call. He's telling Georgia's Prosecuting Attorneys' Council exactly how he wants this to go.
Notably, this pardon comes just days ahead of a Nov. 14 deadline for the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia to appoint a replacement prosecutor for Fani Willis, who was disqualified from pursuing the case.
Trump’s pardon attorney Ed Martin claims Trump is pardoning his Georgia co-defendants and other “alternate electors.”
Note: Trump’s Georgia co-defendants are charged under state law. The president can’t pardon people for state crimes.
