The first pic was up on a shelf I thought she would never reach. The second pic was her doing her best to look uninterested so I wouldn’t make her jump down.

I had a my new assistant in my office today. Her typing skills need work, but she tries best.

Agreed, but it isn’t easy!

I’m doing my best to stay rational and focused while organizing my research and resources while snuggling my own gorgeous black cat.

Good morning, and happy Easter to those who celebrate!

No Easter 🐇 for us - this morning, we had a visit from the Easter Moose! 🫎

No 🫎 were harmed in taking these photos. Two wildlife service trucks pulled up seconds after these photos were taken, and they worked to herd the moose to safety.

Reposting this screenshot with ALT text. The main point is:

A real far-leftist movement would be advocating for forced property seizure by the working-class.

Instead the USA’s far-left is like "don't let people die in medical poverty, please"

I just saw my first robin of the year! He is at my neighbor’s house, a little too far away for a good pic. Spring is here!

Melody Pond was brought to the shelter as a stray when she was about 1.5 years old. They named her Pru. I adopted her and changed her name a year and a half later.

For my own mental health, I will be hanging out on the #CatPics feed only today. I will catch up with the rest of the world later. Here is a pic of my sweet Elisa, basking in the sunshine on this cold, Polar Vortex-afflicted January morning.

Elisa is dreaming about what Santa brought her. She was a very good girl this year!

Is it a natural phenomenon, or is it a crack in space and time?

Good morning Bluesky!

I am having trouble getting motivated today. It’s cold, cloudy, and rainy outside, but I have two warm, purring, cuddly (10 and 13 year-old) kittens doing their best to convince me to stay in bed. ❤️

Good morning, BlueSky! Wishing I could stay snuggled up in bed with these two today, but alas, my students need me.

Who wants to play?

Poorly explain what you do for a living.

I’ll go first. I clean a lot of ear wax out of places it shouldn’t be. I open metaphorical doors by opening literal books. I move my hands around a lot.

Hello! Fellow cat parent here, and these are my girls. Melody Pond is the black cat and the most intelligent cat I’ve ever met. Elisa is the gray cat. She is not as quick as Melody, but she is very pretty and very affectionate.
