Just looking at a Wainwright guide is a meditation. Hand scribed and illustrated, born of deep attention and love for the fells. Never a hard sell, just a modest sharing and tribute.

I want to write a thrutopian novel set in 2060. But ASI predicted within a decade. How do you write beyond that event horizon? How do you research what no one yet understands and maybe never will? Clearly speculative, but would like it to be realistically speculative.

Great article. I've written allegorical kid lit with zero eco refs but it's meant to gnaw at the roots of the polycrisis. Now writing thrutopian fic. Fiction operates in a diffuse way, cumulatively causing shifts in the collective imagination, tweaks to the cultural narrative. Won't save, might help
