From my own experience and from experience of my colleagues, maybe something has changed in the way of our educating — we no longer resemble the older, grumpier teachers who would often impose trauma onto their students.

Though, I’m not from the States, but I’m also an educator: for me it was actual desire to share what I know as I’m a naturally curious person. I work as a university lecturer, so it’s a safe space for me and my students to share common interests and values I feel.

Yeah, absolutely! And then there’s that anxiety after the question that your shelves aren’t looking that good( With all these booktalks etc. we started to forget that books are there to be read and not just beautifully arranged according to some system.
