I'm excited to start some new research on the interactions between forests and people, and will be hiring two PhD students...

I highly recommend it to anyone interested in research on interactions between people and nature, especially if you like mountains! Berchtesgaden is not only a beautiful place, but also a place with interesting (and complex) social-ecological dynamics.

It's been great fun researching and exploring the beautiful landscape of the Berchtesgaden national park with amazing colleagues from the park and @edfm-tum.bsky.social
