My ex in college once lost his shit and was sobbing and called his parents to apologize very generally for “every bad thing he’d ever done”. When he was done I asked him what happened and he very gravely responded “I have really bad heartburn idk if I’m gonna make it” 😂

Carla, the stranger who joins the group hiking into the woods to find the cabin, is wearing a keffiyeh the entire movie. She is a former solider who served in (according to reading spoilers after watching the movie) Afghanistan, where she witnessed her own soldiers brutalizing the women. She holds the victim’s hand in one scene telling her it will be ok, then shoots her in the head and proceeds to hunt down her fellow soldiers who did hurt the women and kill them. This seems good like YES, other countries are human too. But then instead of following this thread, they give Carla PTSD (normal) and turn her into a serial killer (not a normal symptom of PTSD). So by the end, we have a woman in a keffiyeh running around murdering people. At minimum they could have removed the keffiyeh or given her some higher calling but they didn’t and that was certainly a choice.
