Unfortunately, or fortunately, the west operates under the rule of law and at a glacial pace. But if we wanted to cut a Russian cable they have exact one running from Russia to Kaliningrad. A shame if something happened.

Since you are looking at South America, I acquired this NOAA AVHRR image from a ground station at Palmer Station Antarctica a long time ago. Never seen such a tight low pressure since. It's highly post processed with false color added.
