Apologies for sounding antisemitic. Certainly not my intent. It mainly looks like when he hosted a sports team and served piles of congealed McDonalds hamburgers. Likely he sacked the kitchen staff as DEI hires. This is America! no color or flavor allowed!

I make latkes, they are delicious, and McDonald’s is gross.
Those warming trays would turn them into greasy soggy rubber.

Is that what those are? They look awful for latkes, and the company looks worse.

Serving a lot of unappealing brown lumps apparently. Do people really put up with that food and that company? For what?

They prattle on about how we need better home supports and want to be at home, but home support is conveniently not covered by the Canada Health Act. In BC, 24 hour care at home costs $20k/month for low wage contract staff, $36k/month for unionized staff with benefits. Nobody saved enough for this.

Now the province has a much touted “hospital at home” program to try to make up for lack of beds. Ask how much it costs per patient as compared to in hospital care.

Canada has fewer hospital beds per population than other wealthy countries:

Previous governments cut beds, doctors, and nurses in cost savings effort, unlike other countries who saw the baby boomer aging coming and planned more appropriately by increasing numbers.
Mortality Associated With Emergency Department Boarding Exposure: Are There Differences Between Patients Admitted to ICU and Non-ICU Settings? - PubMed
Among non-ICU patients, those who died during hospitalization were more likely to have had incrementally longer boarding exposure than those who survived. This difference was not observed for ICU patients. Boarding risk mitigation strategies focused on ICU patients may have accounted for this differ …
