I’m not saying gut the farm system but you could have easily traded 1-2 guys in the top 6-14 to have acquired Doval or Bednar for example. If the farm system is as good as Scott Harris leads us to believe our 3rd best middle infielder or 5th best SP in the minors is fine to part with.

You’re right, I agree. Which is why the tigers aren’t serious about winning a World Series because they would have made better additions to their team, specifically the bullpen, like the all of the other top teams in the league did. By other getting significantly better, it makes it harder to win.
