Even if symbolic heads of state can count as non combatants, actual ”commanders in chief” like like Trump, Putin or Zelensky are 100% legal military targets.

If Medicare and Medicaid expanded to 10% more of the population tomorrow, how much would need to be appropriated? At what point of such expansion would appropriations become a problem?

All those UHC countries all have private hospitals where people pay to get out-of-system care because they value it. The UHC is the floor not the ceiling. People rarely get super expensive experimental cancer treatment and cosmetic surgery under UHC.

And not all UHC countries have free higher ed.

I saw it. Had to take a picture in case no one would believe me.

This was like seeing an eclipse. Had to try my best to not look straight at it.

”Wiseman”, isn’t it?

Now when I buy a AAA title I’m at least *hoping* to get 3-4000 hours over 10 years from it. But that doesn’t mean it needs to offer variety.

Harmonization only happens when countries get their carve-outs.

E.g building codes are harmonized (eurocode) but national annexes are massive. Germans would be very happy to harmonize so long as the EU wide standard is the German one.

Swedes would rather leave than get EU regulation on snus etc

Clip ends too soon. Surely Wolf immediately pushed back on this?

Right?

Will the expected ”mean distance to closest intersection” be half the mean chord length?

The chord represents two rays in the overall average, going in opposite directions.

If so then for cube with L=2 it’s 2/3?

Kulle jag glatt dör på: Saab är ett tydligare ”techföretag” än Spotify eller Klarna.

If things make any sense then the receiving ship and its owner is now on the sanctions list.

Who are the reporters in the room? Which outlets?

Why is no one asking the obvious questions about ”8 wars” or ”1000% price cuts”?

Any media who is there but rather keeps access than asks that should be named and shamed (boycotted)

That page knows what you had for breakfast but pretends to not know which continent you live on.

An ID card is just a drivers license for non-drivers? Unless you require owning or carrying ID, what’s the opposition to them existing?

The debate I’m assuming is more about having personal ID _numbers_ and a registry thereof? But it’s hard to see how a society even functions effectively without

Either side is fine, but being on both sides sucks.

I don’t understand how this brake line works. Looks like it’s going _through_ the wheel?
August 2, 2025 at 10:51 PM
Sarcasm. I guess you could say it’s a kind of joke, yes.

Let me know if you want some constructive criticism re: your arguments
July 22, 2025 at 1:34 PM
”Look at this thing I made” means ”tell me about my thing, both what’s good and what can be improved”.

Constructive criticism is a gift much more precious than raw praise.

If there is total correlation (between winning one and winning the next) and each event is 50/50 then the chance of someone winning all 88 is … 50/50!

Obviously the correlation isn’t 100% but it’s a hell of a lot closer to 100% than 0%.

I still don’t see anything very generous
July 21, 2025 at 7:06 AM
Not sure what’s going on here. It doesn’t matter if every race is 99/1 or 50/50 or 1/99.

The point is it’s really strange to calculate a combined probability assuming zero correlation. Even assuming 100% correlation would be better.
July 20, 2025 at 2:44 PM
Hadn’t seen the pic. But it says very clearly how and why the number is nonsense.

In short: ”under completely unreasonable assumptions, the number is x”.

Not sure why this is thrown around
July 20, 2025 at 8:19 AM
How were those odds calculated? These are 88 strongly correlated events. Sounds like someone treated them (incorrectly) as independent.

Operator == throws
Dynamic shenanigans
COM shenanigans
Property named x throws
