#UWJ201 #308 Great thought! I believe the rise of AI is going to create challenges within the realm of credibility and ethics. In class, we already talked about how journalists have to be careful with AI and the potential for errors that can occur.

#UWJ201 #308 Good question! Professor Wagner mentioned in lecture how AI is making people's lives easier. I think AI, as of now, isn't a threat, but in the future has the potential to become even more advanced.

#UWJ201 #308 I believe regulations around this would help ensure information isn't being stolen or misused. However, data being auctioned off is a vivid part of the internet that may be challenging to change.

#UWJ201 #308 One principle that works well for me is likeability because it makes me want to acquire what the advertisement is putting out. I think scarcity may work well for society as a whole.

#UWJ201 #308 Yes! I would say republican ideology is more often targeted by fact-checking. However, I don't believe the fact-checkers are biased but rather republicans engage in more misinformation online and therefore is targeted more.

#UWJ201 #308 Throughout this class we've discussed a few ways to ensure we as consumers take in the correct information. One way is to acknowledge ways sources frame issues toward a potential bias. This can help look past the misinformation being put out by a specific news outlet.

#UWJ201 #308 My political identity is a part of my choices for sure! I think it is apart of everyones lives but the inate bias we have should be acknowledged so we can make informed choices related to what we consume.

#UWJ201 #308 I think this is true! Poitical bias will always have some effect on even non-bias articles. However, certain tools that are used can help combat polarization and bias to help media consumers make educated decisions with the information they're given.

#UWJ201 #308 I believe it's more complicated than that. However, finding balance and meaning in everyday life are two aspects that can be focused on to help achieve that "good life."

I like the set-point theory and see its relevance in my life. When I'm going through a hard time, it can be difficult to find a way to make the pain go away, however, I believe that it is true we return to our set-point eventually, it just takes time. #UWJ201 #308

#UWJ201 #308 I think one big way advertisements work for marketing campaigns is the audience they are targeted at. This can be seen in sources all over the world and the ways they display information in a tactical way.

#UWJ201 #308 I agree. With personalization of ads continuing to become prevalent, it is important not to have ads become too personalized. If a brand does it, it could lead to consequences for the brand's image and legal trouble.

Tou are right to say this does create some political discourse between the parties, but I don't believe it is possible to bridge the gap between these two groups through using one type of framing. This would lead to one political party gaining an advantage in reaching their party. #UWJ201 #308

#UWJ201 #308 This question is becoming more prevalent with the rise of prominent figures' use of social media. I do think there is less ethics between what people are seeing and what is trustworthy.

Yes! I agree and think this is very prevalent in politics. Looking at how most parties will not vote for the other party, as seen in the House of Representatives, questions the authenticity of those politicians. #UWJ201 #308

Yes, I find this very scary to think about. Social media outlets have a vast amount of control on our lives without us even noticing. #UWJ201 #308

#UWJ201 #308 I agree with this point! The way journalism is heading doesn't look great for the generations to come. It will be difficult to find ways to reshape journalism's reliability and remove the norms and routines taking place now that are hurting the public.
