My grandson is doing his GCSEs this summer. It's brutal. He's spent the last few years being taught how to pass the exams. That's it. He's learning very little that will stick beyond June. I don't blame the teachers. They probably hate it as much as the kids do. It's not an education.

I don't know why this line is totally buried in this story but it is extremely interesting:
