3/60 ‘Strange New Worlds’ My next pick comes from more recent Trek. The pilot episode of Strange New Worlds took me by surprise when it first aired. Most of the episode is decent, but the speech Capt. Pike makes near the end hit me in the gut 🖖 A good start to a show I love

1/60 Stating my celebration of 60 years of #StarTrek with the fist pick for my list of 60 ‘episodes’ 🖖 Back in early 2013 decided to watch Star Trek (2009), my first full experience of Star Trek. I loved it then and love it still. It’s not perfect, but I am so grateful for it and all that followed ❤️

Some of my favorite music ever has been written by Alan Menken. What he and Howard Ashman managed to do with the ‘’little Off-Broadway show that could’’ will never cease to impress me🪴Nor will the movie adaptation of Little Shop of Horros❤️

New month, new #sci-fi book. This time the first in The Wayfarer series☄️ A very enjoyable read and a uniquely cozy vibe. Some of the many ideas could have benefited from more development, but in the end I’d kinda just like to hang out in The Fishbowl🚀

I should post more about #StarTrek, I love Star Trek. There’s the 60th anniversary this year, and #StarfleetAcademy is on right now. Which, as far as I’m concerned has shown a lot of promise so far 🖖

Finally finished @lindsayellis.bsky.social Apostles of Mercy. The worldbuilding continues to be compelling, there is more action than book 2 and more to be mined from the themes introduced and questions posed here📚 Also: Aliens whose home planet is Earth is a pretty cool idea 👽

If anyone wants a terribly underrated musical to listen to; may I suggest ‘Bonnie & Clyde’. There is also a pro-shot of a ‘concert staging’ in London available. Either way you get Jeremy Jordan singing 🎶
