Tangentially related: I would actually not recommend watching “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” while you are literally on a tarmac trying to fly out of O’Hare during a snowstorm, two days after thanksgiving. The weirdest, most frustrating immersive experience ever. Though I didn’t have a Del.

Because what do you MEAN I could watch both “The Holdovers” and “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” on this flight — or rather, on the tarmac — but not on any of the streaming services I have? Granted, the latter is on at least one major platform, but still! A PLANE!

Spoilers: the oddity of older men and younger women onscreen is rarely a topic of conversation (though I promise every woman notices it). But flip the genders and suddenly, huh, it's noticeable. So, women are simply taking control.

Not the least of which is because Paddington 2 is a very convincing call for prison reform, complete with psychotic thespian Hugh Grant. What more could you ask for?
