But sadly, it also seems like a lot of these bad actors are already a bit well-practiced by the time they hit the spotlight or reach a level where they have some sort of brand recognition. Like it was always there, but not really done about when it did happen.

And on your point of enforcement: it’d be really nice if that was followed through from the first instance or get-go every single time & every single case. The Files wouldn’t even be what they are if those bad actors in them were taken down after their first transgression.

Read an archived newsletter that talked about MZB’s spouse and stuff he did, and how it was an issue. Then consider a lot of those who were subjected to bad stuff. The big commonality that sticks out is that these predators knew what potential prey to target.

The more I hear of things like this & look at recent events, the more I think humanity is really horrible about instituting accountability. Like if things were done when they occurred, these issues wouldn’t even be around.

We need to keep people as people & not make them into idealized idols.
