I'm absolutely not a fan of Elon and fully support boycotting his companies' products and services where possible (I deactivated my Twitter/X account a couple weeks ago), but didn't he sell Paypal decades ago?

Flickr has a pretty different audience though than insta, tiktok, or this new bluesky Flashes platform. I guess mostly because Flickr doesn't have the same influencer rot as the others.

If what you wish to emphasize is how different 2012-2013 is in comparison to the other periods, option A has more 'ooomph'. But for an environmental / earth scientist audience, the log plots are waaay more informative imo. I vote option B, with a caption to provide emphasis as needed.
