I'm a Pisces moon too with a Taurus sun and Libra rising. I'm a crier not an emotional denier

To not burn out, I try my best to sleep in on weekends, use Monday as a flex day to finish what I couldn't do on Sunday, and rub Vicks into my joints to help with inflammation & prevent flare-ups when I overwork my muscles.

You're probably thinking: Who is this diva?

Hi I'm Andra a brand manager

I worked 3-4 more hours than the average corporate employeee, but I'm not burnt out because I'm able to get fresh air, relax, spend time with my family.

Plus the time spent sleeping through the night and not having access to blue light helps with my AuDHD due to the limited stimulation.

So how does waking up at 3 AM keep me productive as a disabled person?

As an online business owner, I can start my computer work at 3 AM, finish my last meeting around noon, and wrap up everything at 2 - 3 PM.

I'm free to skip the line because I finish work before rush hour

Then to work with fickle corporations that view workers as expendable.

Even if they don't have the budget for a freelance gig, digital products in assets that can help them reach their goal.

It's easier to motivate someone that's lost their perceived security than someone that has it all already.

There was an uptick of opportunity in 2022 - 2023. Large corportations were laying off W-2 employees and posted 1099 positions simultaneously.

Now that has partially died off. Most of those W-2 employees started their own businesses.

It's easier to sell to someone disgruntled with the workforce.

If you've noticed, living on $988/month anywhere in the US is hard.

I have 10 years of marketing experience. If no one else will hire me, the best thing I could do for myself is leverage that experience and go full-time in my freelance business.

What if freelance gigs are slow?
November 18, 2024 at 9:53 AM
It is, but that doesn't stop employers from telling me t interviews they won't accomodate my disability, or following up with a hiring manager and being told they went in a different direction.

Which sucks, but you gotta make a living.

No one else is coming to save me.

SSDI is slim pickings too

I have no other choice, but to take care of myself because of my neurodivergence and disabilities.

As an entrepreneur, I have the freedom to live a lifestyle that accomodates my disabilities better than any job can.

Which most companies won't accomodate anyways.

But isn't that against the law?
November 18, 2024 at 9:53 AM
How do I stay productive with ADHD, autism, and a myriad of other disabilities that make it tough for me to show up than most?

I use music for time management, take breaks during flare-ups, sleep 9-10 hours, & I don't pretend like I'm superman.

As an entrepreneur I'm an invaluable asset to self.

Why is this important? Despite me identifying as a genderless amoeba cursed to live 90 years in a human meat sack since age 5, I live in a woman's body. Our hormonal cycles impact how we show up in work. My irregular cycle affects my mood more than a woman with a regular cycle.
November 18, 2024 at 9:53 AM
I still get things done during my luteal phase, but I have to move at a slower pace. Thankfully, my cycle is 60 - 90 days, depending on which season we're in; making my follicular/ovulation phases 42 - 90 days and my luteal phase 12 days.

I track this information using the Stardust app.
November 18, 2024 at 9:53 AM
Now as someone AFAB, we need more sleep so I get around 8-9 hours. 10 hours on my menstrual cycle which is quite irregular due to hormonal imbalances caused by my neurodivergence.

The follicular and ovulation phases are my most productive and conducive with my mood. While the luteal is a drag.

I take my prescribed medicine for my mental health around 6 - 7 PM, depending on the night. These meds help soothe my anxiety, improve my mood, and keep me sane in this insane modern society. They also knock me tf out. Before, I used to struggle with Evening Existential Dread causing discomfort.

This book is definitely guilty of me becoming a whimsigoth instead of full goth
