Witnessing the reality of climate change in park city Utah and hearing all the wealthy people scheme ways to continue to ignore it or accept how their ski vacations will have to change in the future.

I’m in Utah. And the legislature passed something that is making it even harder than usual for small businesses. Bless small businesses and the role they play in nourishing us and raising awareness politically. We need them more than Amazon.

Finally reading all of The Revolution Will Not Be Funded and just forever envious of how well organized, funded conservatives are. The level of investment in ideas, media and cultural infrastructure is wild.

grateful for what stranger things says on grief, trauma and childhood but I wish the show had gone the Buffy route with the ending for El.

Just tearing up because of the people in my life.

Took a friend to see my annual jazz show last night (a 16-year-tradition) and then ran 7 miles w a mother friend this morning. It’s more than what we did it’s how we get to be together.

Feeling blessed to end a tough year with such gratitude.

It’s wild to me how things have just come into alignment and I can do a little info and discussion session at my day job’s work retreat that not only helps me make sense of my path but also serves a purpose for others.

I enjoy facebook memories because I'm sentimental. 10 years ago today City Bureau launched and now I co-own the very coffee shop/bookstore where this photo was taken around that time:

this graph has been floating around from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. sure you can turn this into advocating for journalism orgs to host gatherings but that isn't the root. people are overworked and deeply underpaid. people used to be able to live off of working class, union jobs. key word LIVE.
