It's refreshing to hear someone with Andrea's expertise speaking the same truth that everyday Americans have known for years. These are the concerns that matter to people. If leaders in Washington actually listened to these voices, our system wouldn't be so deeply broken.

Immigration to the United States generates economic activity and creates jobs for American workers. What Trump is doing is not routine immigration enforcement, he’s trying to eliminate the immigrant workforce that has made our economy the strongest in the world.

South Korean workers detained during a massive immigration raid on a Hyundai facility in Georgia will be returned to South Korea on a chartered flight. @andreaflores.bsky.social of @fwd.us said the workers were here “not to take jobs, but create jobs.”

As a former DHS and national security official let me make it clear — these deployments will do nothing to solve real public safety challenges. Full stop. Militarizing city streets won’t protect anyone. It erodes trust between communities and law enforcement.

I really, really don’t think what blue voters want to hear right now is “military takeover is redundant because we can crack down on crime more effectively.” They want to hear “this is fascism and we won’t stand for it” and vanishingly few national dems are doing that

This is a massive shift in policy. Confirming that DHS will not recognize DACA status as protecting people from deportation and encouraging them to self deport is as devastating as ending the program. www.npr.org/2025/07/29/n...
