Day 20: Fiber Friends
My second train trip spindling with a view....to Reno to celebrate my mom's 86th birthday. First time was with Fiber Friends Susan and Chris. Third will be a return to Black Sheep...later maybe a three-day trek across the country!

Day 12: Unfinished Business
I knitted the pieces of this sweater 20+ years ago. A dear friend assembled them on a recent visit. All I have to do is sew in some ends and add a belt. Maybe, just maybe, I'll finish it while it's still cold enough to wear!

Day 11: Texture
My phone is an extensive archive of photos of textures (as well as structures, patterns, forms, colors, etc) I use for reference for my art.

Today at our spinning guild meeting a member showed us how to make baskets with our scraps of yarn. Only finished the flat part, but had fun!

Day 3: Monday Morning...
...is when a dear friend hosts an informal weekly gathering of fiber friends. Rain or shine, sometimes outside, sometimes in, I look forward to these mornings of sharing and laughter and respite from these frustrating times.

Day 2: Looking Forward
...to getting some of my hand-dyed homespun onto my tapestry loom!

Day 1: Hi!
I'm Andrea: hobby farmer, artist, graphic designer, exhibit designer, illustrator. My fiber friends and guilds (Anne's Web, Carmel Craft Guild, and Santa Cruz Textile Arts Guild) have gifted me with camaraderie and knowledge and skill sharing.
