Google "negative price electricity germany". Non programmable sources like solar PV and Wind creates synchronous over-production, driving prices in negative territory.

It is not a good thing. Negative electricity price means that the producers has to pay just to stay on grid. This is not healthy nor economical. And the costs at the end are payed by the consumer. Most of the people don't understand that electricity cannot be easily stored like natural gas.

In the end it boils down to costs. From a technical stand point is all feasible

Everybody is hoping to sell and monetize the overproduction of non programmable sources (solar PV and Wind turbines) to neighbours. What can go wrong?
