A MASSIVE well done to Northumbria graduate Lol Crawley who won an Oscar last night!

Lol won the Best Cinematography award for his work on The Brutalist, for which he also won a BAFTA last month.

My last story of 2024 gave me a few little tears… Kate has 2 very young children and is away from them this Christmas in Antarctica. I loved how her son’s nursery have taken her trip as inspiration for activities with the children. Merry Christmas everyone ☃️❄️

The first detailed images of how much ice is being lost in Greenland have been revealed by Northumbria Uni CPOM researchers.

Using radar & laser data from NASA & ESA satellites they’ve been able to clearly show where & by how much ice is thinning & shrinking
