Mostly for the same reasons car drivers don’t obey them. I ride a bicycle, that does not mean I have to be Mother Theresa.

The path connects Melbourne city with the inner Western suburbs on the other side of the Docklands and port. The approaches on either side got some improvements as well, making the trip a lot safer for bike riders. I really enjoyed exploring it.

The bike path is suspended between the 2 new freeway bridges for 2.5 kms. It traverses a concrete desert of rail and road infrastructure on bridges and at ground level, making it a relaxed, enjoyable and relatively quiet ride.
