did a few test installs today using archinstall while also thinking how this is probably going to take 5 minutes compared to the full hour when installing windows11 at work. It most certainly did NOT take 5 minutes.

Yes there should be more statistics in Linux. No stuff like pkgstats are not invasive wiki.archlinux.org/title/Pkgstats and Yes all distros should have something like this installed by default.

have done a few rhel upgrades at work, from 7 to 8 then from 8 to 9 and one thing that has been constant is me fixing repos after the upgrade and them breaking later when an update appears. that is very not hehe 😥

Second issue. The browser doesn't have an address bar. Ok sure. To go to a link you need to click the + button to open a new tab, write the address and hit enter. But, below the "address bar" you have a "Search on default search engine" button, which opens this beautiful page in the background

the state of development bro. stumbled upon a browser yesterday, thought I'd try it, for fun. I ran into 3 bugs in just a few clicks. Kinda amazing.

The first one, funnily enough, is when the application starts. It started with this size.
