I regularly think about this system and eat my hat in frustration about how I never have the resources or support to make something this elegant

My biggest, inescapable frustration was that the thematic push of the game-to continue for those who still remain, for a better tomorrow-was completely divorced from this twist ending in the most arbitrary and agonizing way. The game insists you accept that these people aren’t real and don’t matter.

I feel this is what The Consortium: The Tower was supposed to be, too

I’m not sure how I should feel in listening to Tim go through all the jobs in the pipeline and realizing I seem to wind up doing most of those jobs in some way

I don’t think Dadaist aesthetics bake your brain any more than Ren and Stimpy did, or violent games make kids violent.
I think I’m more worried that scrolling infinitely on TikTok and Bluesky is just bad for us as a species than anything.

I think my concern is more with endlessly consuming any particular type of content, but especially when it’s slightly unhinged and divorced from the real

I 100% agree. All the fantastic lore and world building and platforming is there, but I’m constantly running into brick wall after brick wall I have to scale up. It’s at times designed in straight up *mean* ways, and it’s been horribly discouraging. That said, I’ve stubbornly kept at it so far.
