Sucks that if the arc of history does end up bending toward justice, “K-Gnome” can just pull off her Mission Impossible mask and we’ll have no idea who she is. Just disappears down to Sonoma to sell turquoise with the rest of the leathery ladies. What brand do you think she smokes?

That’s a great question
On the LA Weekly website is has it being published on August 21st. Robin Williams is listed as having died on August 11th. I’m assuming it took some time in those 10days to write the piece. From what little I can google it says Williams’ LBD wasn’t made public until Nov2015

Which, yeah, probably. But I also enjoy hearing his opinion on things. It’s good to hear someone mess up and see how or where they go from there

I’d forgotten about it. Then I was recently listening to an old ep of “You Made it Weird” and it was closer to that time and so of course Weirdy Pete brings it up and they talk about it.
… now that I think about it, I don’t know if I had a point other than “I was reminded of this”

Near the end of the ep I was reminded of a, I guess you could call it a “pop culture” incident, from around 11 years ago. After the death of Robin Williams, Henry Rollins wrote a piece in the LA Weekly where he addressed his feelings over it and it “got a reaction” is one way to put it…

Had a sympathetic response to seeing this ICEagent in the thumbnail. Guy should not be wearing anything over his airways, even a thin breathable fabric like that of his gator. This is a cardio/pulmonary incident just waiting to happen.

Laughing at myself as I got to work today and remembered how yesterday I got to work and got my car keys out of my bag and pointed the garage door opener at the door here at work and then looked down and saw I had my car keys in my hand…

We have to use a security badge to open the door.
