Can the women in your life run 100 metres faster than the men?

It is of course not proof that you're impartial, but it may be evidence supporting the case that you are.

I know very well how chromosomes work. It's interesting that you use having an extra one as an insult. My sister has Down's syndrome, because she has an extra chromosome. She would not like you using her condition as an insult.

We want a female-only category for female people. And either a male category for male people, or an open one. "Trans men" can compete in female sports, since they're female - as long as they don't take prohibited drugs.

I was amused by this:

"Regarding Evans' organ contribution on "You Won't See Me", McCartney explained that he showed Evans where the notes were on the organ, and then nodded his head when he wanted Evans to play, and shook it when he wanted him to stop."

There are junior chess competitions. Do you think they should be abolished?

(And, of course, that patriarchal lack of opportunities is a good reason why women should be allowed their own competitions, if they want them, even in events which don't require strength or speed.)

And yet even the few full-time female sprinters who train full-time and earn vast amounts of money can't run 100 metres in under ten seconds, while many hundreds of men can.

They're not only a contest of skill. They're also a contest of strength and speed. The fastest women can't run as fast as the fastest men. The strongest women can't throw things as far as the strongest men. Everyone knows this, although some people - like you - pretend not to.

Then why are the fastest 1,000 sprinters in history all male?

I used to love his SR toothpaste.

They're not going to ban transgender athletes from female events; they're going to ban MALE athletes from female events.

When I was 24 I wrote an article on ships' hatch covers for Bulk Systems International magazine. It may have been the most boring article ever to appear in the most boring magazine in the history of the world.

But there's only one dial to put in all those parameters? Baffles me.

Knowing that only people born 25 years ago are 25-year-olds doesn't "break us down to our dates of birth". It simply acknowledges material reality.

Yes... advent, Christmas, the resurrection, the day of judgement - they're all gettting a bit mixed up in my mind.

Fair enough. What about Boghead Park - a mate of Swampy in his tunnelling days?

I think the upper glass (as governors and generals) and the working class (as squaddies) also played a big part in running the empire.

Presumably using organic hemp ropes.

A quarter of Green voters want to bring back hanging!
November 7, 2025 at 12:57 PM
Not quite true. Here in Wiltshire, and in neighbouring Berkshire, there are hills above 200m that have woods on them. Same on the River Dee above Braemar, where some more enlightened estates are encouraging forest regeneration. Not nearly enough, though.

How do you know the decline wouldn't have been steeper without swift bricks and boxes?
