I love to travel, learn and explore.
Long weekend at the lake. Trying to pretend that I’m not going back to work tomorrow where it’s -5°C and snow.

Did my first ever training in a full-motion flight simulator on the Avro RJ aircraft. It’s a pretty wild experience.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a 100 series Dash-8. It looks kind of sporty 😆

Changed a set of fuel nozzles on a Garrett TPE-331 turbine engine today. I find turbine engines to be such a feat of engineering. You wouldn’t think the amount of fuel getting through that filthy nozzle to be enough to keep an engine running.

This guy is locked in…I admire that level of focus. Great photo!

I’m betting this little bastard right here is the most dangerous in the bunch. It’s always the seemingly harmless looking ones that make you taste your own blood.

It’s May 19th and the weather is just a hot mess. Throughout the day it goes from frozen to flooded and then back again. 20 knot cross winds, highs of -12°C, and sunny blue skies. It just cannot make up its mind.

Spent the week out on Vancouver Island and it never disappoints. It’s truly spectacular out there.

On approach to Iqaluit, Nunavut in the Avro RJ 100 last night. It looks really cool in these photos, but in person it was really something to see.

April 22nd in the Arctic. On a positive note it’s only -9°C outside.

This can’t be a coincidence…I just posted about my cross shift putting this up on the wall at work 😆🤓

My cross shift at work posted this in our maintenance office. He’s a good guy, and we get along quite well so I know it’s all in good fun…but I’m really overthinking why he chose Rick Moranis for the picture. Sure, I’m a bit nerdy and I wear glasses, but that’s all I got 🤷🏼‍♂️🤓

I often get asked how can I possibly work outside in -45°C weather 🥶
The answer is patience, three layers of clothes under my insulated coveralls, two layers of gloves, and by strategically placing the heater hoses at my feet, hands, tools, and on the area being worked on.

Under the floor of a Dornier 228 airplane. It’s referred to as “the heart” because of how much runs through here.

Recently took the Avro RJ type training course at Conair out in Abbotsford BC for Summit Air. It was a very intense course for someone with no M2 field experience, but I love to learn!
