The 2025-09-06 Sunrise in NYC. The Sun this high above the horizon should not be photographable! It was because of the smoke from wildfires in British Colombia - a continent away!
I was even able to capture four sunspots without any special filters and with just my daily universal lens.

On the first evening of summer I saw my first fireflies! In my homeland we call them Saint John’s Flies - so it was full four days before their holiday!
