Kicked off 2026 with a 10K this morning. Iroquois Park here in Louisville has some rolling hills with a large hill in the middle of the park that overlooks the city.

A wonderful race and workout which led to a day of relaxing and chilling out at home and watching my Hoosiers advance in the CFP.

12 Days of 5Ks is officially done. Last run of 2025, but we’ll be getting 2026 started on New Year’s Day.

Lit up Strava like a Christmas Tree at this morning’s Hungry Turkey 5K. Didn’t quite hit my goal, but I improved my PR by about 3 minutes from a month ago.

Had a great workout yesterday doing 400m repeats on the Big Four Bridge between Jeffersonville and Louisville. My goal of a sub-50 minute 5k by the end of the year is totally on the table and feels very doable.

Been a while since I’ve done a Weigh In Wednesday post. Life’s been busy and I hit a bit of a stall at the beginning of August, but now I appear to have broken out of it and dropped a good chunk of weight this week. Charts are 30, 365, and all-time.

Week 5 Run 1. Back on the N2R app instead of the native Apple Workout app. Really hot and humid today. This was the first week of decreased walking recovery intervals (from 120 seconds to 60 seconds).

Took yesterday off, but got today I got Week 4 Run 3 done. Week 4 is officially in the books. Next week will be tough since the recovery intervals go down to 1 minute instead of 2. But we’ll get through it.

Week 4 Run 2.

Realized my form was off when my left calf felt like it was far my tired than my right. Was listing a bit to my left since I was running an anti clockwise route. Corrected it and felt a lot better.

NoneToRun Week 3 Run 2. Converted the workout into a native Apple Watch running workout and decided I’d try it with the new Workout Buddy in watchOS 26. It went ok. Incredibly warm this morning and I think that made it my most difficult run yet.
