The right wing always with their Nietzschean attempts at creating the Ubermensch. At least Nietzsche was anti-racist. These fools sure have a misunderstanding of survival of the fittest - they forget that for nature to work we thrive on collaboration, not competition

1987....one of the great years for the movies. So many great films but I always have to highlight Alex Cox's "Walker" which was horribly misunderstood and reviled in its time

I visited Minneapolis for the first time last spring (loved it!) and I met several Lyft drivers who were from Somalia and they were all wonderful. They clearly had pride in their city and showed me lovely hospitality. Fuck Trump and his weak ass, zero intellect racism

I have also thought about how maga people probably see Jack as the hero in that film and that certainly was not the intention of the filmmakers! (also, still a pretty cool movie with a rad cast)
