I am well aware they are not. But what is happening in Palestine is of such magnitude and consequence that all of us should be judged if we don’t actively oppose it.

Your point re Catholics is not a good one though, because arguably they should, and because what is happening in Palestine really isn’t comparable - it is the defining issue of our age and we will be judged on it by generations to come.

Not at all. I know some high profile people have protested it and I applaud them very strongly.

But I apply this well beyond the Jewish population. Britain and its government are implicated in what’s happening therefore, as a British person, it is incumbent on me to protest it strongly too.
