My iPhone's battery has been depleting faster than before. The iPhone 17 comes out on September 19th. Anyone else in the same boat? What a coincidence 🤔 📲

WHERE ARE YOU REALLY FROM received a starred review from Kirkus Reviews! ⭐

"Chou is gifted at storytelling with a surrealistic bent ... Sharp storytelling that bends and blurs genre expectations."

Words can’t explain 🥹 We were deeply inspired by Elaine Hsieh Chou’s fireside chat for her newest novel, “Where Are You Really From,” released Aug 19. Highly recommend checking it out. She’s so personable, funny, & witty! This turned my day around entirely #booktok #sf

I haven’t been posting much lately. I recently lost Nori and it’s been hard. She was only 7 years old and had nasal cancer that spread to her brain. I’m still recovering from the loss. Here’s a picture of us during our last weekend hangout. Now you’re in doggy heaven. Miss you and love you, Nori ❤️‍🩹

I can’t believe how split everyone is! I felt completely different in the 90s growing up, and also a sense of rebuilding together after 9/11 in 2001. Hoping that all this will lead to some greater good

Took this girl on a walk during the day before the fireworks she despises. I discovered a bit of a hack: During the fireworks, drive around and blast music. She was a lot better with them this year! 🎆

The catastrophe that happened in Texas with the flash flooding of the Guadalupe River is terrifying. I saw some videos and it happened within minutes. Prayers and condolences for all those who were impacted

Tonight is the Strawberry Moon for those who are interested in moon cycles! Look up at the sky tonight 🍓 🌕

I typically like suspense/horror/thriller, but I think I’ve been watching those because it grabs my attention. I’m super open to suggestions

I haven’t been able to watch a movie start to finish for months. Any recommendations?

I’m talking one of those movies you can’t look away from or answer a text while watching. One where when it’s over, you’re disappointed because you know you can’t watch it for a first time ever again

Tell me!

Brought this girl on her first vacation since December. She’s been having some complications, so it’s been hard to travel. Grateful to see such a gorgeous day in Carmel with all the white sand 🐕‍🦺 🧢

That’s a great observation! It reminds me of that quote by Churchill: “I apologize for the long letter, if I had more time, I would have written a shorter one.”

Bluesky has helped me organize my thoughts and not be scared of posting. I feel like I used to be a perfectionist when it comes to hitting “Post.” Now, it doesn’t really matter because it’s just a quick blurb. Anyone else feel the same?

I couldn’t even capture all the paragliders on this beautiful day, but I believe there were about 10. It must be both relaxing and terrifying at the same time up there 🪂

If you haven’t watched it already, see him in Prospect with Sophie Thatcher. Another role he plays a father figure!

I sure hope it’s not the last time! I missed Pedro for a few episodes before yesterday evening’s. Show isn’t the same without him. He plays the role so well

Anyone else spam the USPS tracking link whenever you order something online, or is it just me? I feel like that's part of the fun of ordering something because it feels like Christmas 🎄

I’m so sad to see the news about the earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand. One of my good friends in Bangkok said it was worse than anything he felt while living in California. Tons of aftershock too

Unpopular opinion: I enjoy taking Uber more than Waymo 😱

Why?

1) Cost. Waymo costs 80% more than Uber.

2) Time. Waymo gets stuck and takes 2x longer.

3) Economy. I’d rather support a human driver.

Waymo is a novelty in my mind. Am I alone in feeling this way?

#SanFrancisco #Waymo vs. #Uber

We were sent home from work and went on lockdown for “two weeks” 5 years ago. How’s everyone holding up?

I’ll go first.

I always think about each 4 years as going through high school or college entirely.

I’ve learned so much in this time. I’m ready to receive all the positive energy around me ✨🍀

Love this quote! Thanks for reminding me of this. Sometimes change can be difficult, but without it, nothing would grow & evolve

Not me listening to songs selectively on #Spotify because I know they’ll curate an entire playlist with my guilty pleasures if I listen to MMMBop by Hanson once, then I’ll make it my entire personality for 2025. It’s inevitable and I should stop resisting it.

Yes! So gorgeous. That view of Sutro Tower is 👌 so nice to get different views of the city from various locations

I really enjoyed watching #Smile2. First off, the quirky sounds were unlike any horror movie I’ve seen. Naomi Scott’s performance was exceptional and made me feel the sense of hopelessness. The twists and turns were on point.

8.5/10 horror movie for me.

And that’s saying a lot
