This person is what’s known as a rent-a-quote: someone willing to say things that unethical media can point to as an authoritative source. “The executive director of this freedom-fighting foundation has made a shocking claim!” — and that’s the story. A claim. They don’t bother to interrogate it.

This, but also, what gets me, is that it's basically impossible to be hired as a federal contractor if you admit to having ever used marijuana.
