Now #Anora is out, I'm sharing in full my 15-min interview with the amazing Sean Baker, the morning after it premiered at Cannes. I started by asking about the glowing reviews:

SB: It's nice- and a little surprising! Because it seems so far that it hasn't been as divisive as I thought it would be.
Terrible title, but “Steve” from Netflix and Cillian Murphy might be the best film of the year so far. Heartbreaking, hilarious and knows exactly what it wants to say #TIFF

Also just finished #TheStudio (Seth Rogan new Apple show) and 4 thoughts:
1. it’s superb, obviously
2. Dave Franco should do every “previously on…” recap
3. more seasons should have 10+ eps
4. I’m pumped for CinemaCon next month.
Bring on the old-school Hollywood buffet 😀

Wow. The new Snow White is the best Disney live-action I’ve seen, by far. (Despite the worst marketing campaign, also by far.) Rachel Zegler is superb, & Gal Gadot is great fun as the villain. Dwarfs are admittedly a bit creepy. Still, did not expect that! 👍#snowwhite

A COMPLETE UNKNOWN is a by-the-numbers boomer biopic. Timothee Chalamet is solid and thankfully not too showy. Go see BETTER MAN instead.

Could a film like the superb “Seed of the Sacred Fig” ever representing Iran at the #Oscars? It’s pretty inconceivable right now - which is why Germany stepped in instead.

My interview with director-in-exile Mohammad Rasoulof:

BLACK BOX DIARIES, the remarkable story of how Japanese journalist Shiori Ito became a rare high-profile #MeToo voice in her homeland, is out in theaters today. Highly recommend.
