My other half (radiographer, runner & all round sensible person) says that’s not unusual & might be expected after vigorous aerobic exercise, but everyone reacts differently. Maybe have a chat with your GP about it some time, but don’t be unnecessarily alarmed. And keep running, btw 😀

This week's theme is rural 🌳

This beautiful painting is called 'Rustic Scene with a Stile' by A. Worthington.

I love the colours and it really invites you in and makes you want to disappear into the woods for a wander.

tree in the background, in the centre is a style with two people crossing over it.
The light shows orange and yellow colours coming through the trees

The Pennine Way is 60 years old & we celebrated this iconic & ground-breaking trail at a special event in the Yorkshire Dales today - in words, music & art. Still an inspiration after all these years! @yorkshiredales.org.uk @nationaltrailsuk.bsky.social @ramblers.org.uk @campaignerkate.bsky.social

Beautiful Sunday in April and I had Long Dale (pictured) and Minninglow to myself, just Red Admirals & skylarks for company.

Got a lift many years ago when travelling in southern Texas from a nice old boy in an even older pickup. But he drove so slowly & made lots of inexplicable diversions, even getting lost at one point. I eventually got out & caught a Greyhound bus instead.

Very good news, well done Guy!

Huge win! Government announces plans to open up the Land Registry.

If delivered, will finally reveal more about who owns land in England and Wales.

Read my blog post for more details & how you can write to the Minister to make sure this now happens:

Federal land management stewards have been there for us. Now, let's come together to be there for them!

Join us tonight at 6pm Pacific for a special #ParkChat during which we'll suggest 5 concrete ways we can support our #publiclands and their protectors.

Art by National Park Posters
A WPA style poster with a female-presenting National Park Service ranger standing between to mountain peaks. Across the top of the poster it says "Worth Protecting" in bold black letters. At the bottom it says "America's National Parks, US Department of the Interior, National Park Service.

Yes I’d heard about the competition from Wales. I have to say, where I live in the Peak District we have much steeper roads than Harlech or Dunedin (pictured)! Maybe its about the length or type, ie urban?

#FingerPostFriday from Dunedin, New Zealand (it’s not as steep as you might imagine, btw!).
