Honestly, I never print anything, at all. Never even bothered getting networked to any of the printers at work in 5+ years.

Sure, it's just a quip, but it so tellingly betrays the poverty of mind, as I have just seen someone else call it.

This is just such pathetic stuff from Badenoch.

Nothing can be excluded.

I knew the name, but none of the backstory. I love reading food stories.

That's a fabulous story - thank you.

Her fiction always has a strong historical consciousness.

Yes, very much (but like everything I've read by her).

Reading good fiction is one of the most important things an historian can do.

I haven't seen Barbara in far too long!

Absolutely Henrik. My wife is American and even from the "safety" of Denmark it is having a very heavy impact on her.

We live life within and between buildings.

Thank you. Though I'm a swimmer, I've never been to the ponds, I'm afraid (though I would love to & have a good friend who's a regular). And as a man I have no wish to impose my opinion, but I just cannot imagine the problem - as you say, there isn't one.

An exclusionary policy is clearly unworkable, but I also struggle to see what it ameliorates (I acknowledge that I am commenting as a man).

I lived in Allentown, PA, for three years - there was a wonderful WPA mural in the Post Office. I don't know - but hope - it is still there.

Am I allowed to say; just wait until their 18.

Oh, so sorry to hear about NICU - I found myself there with both my children (now 31 and 27). I hope things are going as well as can be hoped.

Visited Thoravej 29, a beautifully repurposed factory building in Copenhagen's Nordvest neighborhood. Great slabs have been cut from monolithic concrete floors and then canted downward to create broad stairways, simultaneously letting in floods of light.

I lived in Allentown for three years and it is, excuse me, fucking insane that it has no railway network, no station, no connection to either New York or Philadelphia.

Fantastic. Though an outsider, I always balked at the idea the Widnes was in Cheshire (I married a Widnesian and lived there nearly twenty years).

If it means anything Leon, I'm really enjoying the essay.
