Creating silicone molds from chalk resin carvings. The casting can then have steel wire armatures set within them allowing pose articulation. Once pose is establish junctions can be filled and detail carved. The silicone molds allow for casting in various materials.

Tilting at Windmills' The piece is constructed over a 4 mm steel armature. Chalk resin is applied with a palette knife and worked to basic form then detail carved with rotary burrs.
Final detailing is made with paperclay before paint and sealing. Piece is mounted to a timber base.
