Andrew Selman - Ward 3 / Hamilton
@andrewselman.bsky.social
Husband, father, proud Hamiltonian.

I’m a data and insights specialist from Ward 3, bringing expertise in analytics and process improvement to community issues, with a focus on public safety and transparent governance.
After years of open narcotic use , it finally feels like we’re turning a corner. We need to get back to some basic expectations, like respect for public spaces.

I'm happy to see HPL showing real leadership and saying what should’ve been obvious: no drugs in our libraries.

It's unacceptable.

Today I had a chance to meet with the Acting Director of Bylaw to discuss these buildings in Ward 3, in addition to many other derelict buildings on my radar.

As a result of citizen leadership, changes are coming my friend.

Keep after it. 2026 is coming soon.

Any relation to the attempt to unionize constituency assistants?

Thank you. I was looking for an alternative.

Absolutely. Copper theft has been an absolute blight in my neighbourhood.

It's a constant issue. A few months back the old Breezy Corners had a major flood, with water rising from their basement out to the main floor.

The more community policing, the better

I'm not there myself today.

I've personally seen it happen, so I know it's not unheard of behaviour around the horseshoe.

Nice article. I remember these washrooms well.

Just curious, since it's not referenced anywhere, how much would it cost to have kept the washrooms in good repair for 40+ years?

Indeed. The lack of root cause analysis remains a major barrier to accountability. Without clear, public answers, residents are left guessing.

As for the ventilation system, there was an update in the Public Record, but who’s ultimately at fault is still unclear
