The whole shutdown thing was a farcical shit show. I’ll be impressed if anybody pushes them to do literally anything as hard as they push them to keep this performative nonsense going.

They fucked around for over 15 years - and then threw millions of peoples lives in the chaos to try to salvage a half ass Band-Aid that wasn’t even originally put in as a permanent solution, doesn’t actually solve the fucking problem, and doesn’t even help everyone who’s rates are going up

I still do not understand who did the math and thought for a hot second that the people who have been systematically tearing down and burning down the government, we’re going to be bothered in any way shape or form about the whole thing being shut down.

If his party had listened to people screaming at them for the last four years, at least some of this probably could’ve been headed off. He’s awfully snarky for somebody who fucked around and left the rest of us to find out.
