I remember answering many, many times the question "why do we call them floppies if the new ones are hard?" with "the disc in the inside is still floppy, plus habit".

Like he said, things are changing fast. No one sane is using batteries with cobalt in stationary storage anymore, it's all LFP, soon to transition to sodium-ion. The transition didn't happen necessarily because cobalt is bad, it happened because LFP is cheaper, better, and safer.

As I recall, raunchy fan service. I bought the original DVD release back in 2003, and I promptly made ebay account so I could offload it. It was supposedly a comedy but it just seemed mean to me. Maybe it turns around later in the series, I don't know.
Very ahead of its time. :(

There's a fun thought experiment, what would be some of the most unlikely shows (outside of something like Muppet Babies that even Disney can't clear)? I'm thinking Kidd Video has to be up there with all the music videos.

That's a much easier problem to solve, put chargers where people can park overnight. Granted, the city might have to admit people are forced to live like that, but where I live there's a bunch of free L2 chargers at some parks and stores; the city can look the other way like they probably are now.

I've always wondered, if CRT TV's refresh depended on the grid Hz (see PAL vs. NTSC), how did Japan handle their 50/60 split with early TVs and game consoles?

Toyota's been pushing hydrogen for as long as Tesla has been pushing EV fast chargers, if not longer. We have lots of EV fast chargers, good luck finding a hydrogen station outside of California.

But then we wouldn't have any stations. Hydrogen is notoriously leaky and flammable, and with the obscene pressures they use for FCEVs you can see why Toyota couldn't be bothered to build a fueling network. Also, no home chargers.

At some point someone's gotta release the Oh! My Goddess OVAs on blu-ray over here, afaik the newest U.S. release is still the rather, uh, composite DVD from way back. The rest of the series would be nice too...
