Woah woah woah woah I’m upset the XOXO
festival has come to an end too, but we don’t need to send the military in town for that

Why are you spreading misinformation about our city, Will?? Pyro Pizza doesn't even have a fig & balsamic flavor! (Also, there's a cannoli popup here tomorrow if you want to swing by.)

I want to try it! Ami always fries them, but the batter is thicker than this recipe and much closer to pancakes than a crepe

I will probably never run a game jam, but that was really interesting.

still love this idea

One tip if anyone else is thinking of using an autoclicker: only click once a second and set your coordinate to the far left side of the button. Otherwise, you'll click too quickly and miss the ending!

I got eggbugged! Very fun and surprising to see a @staff.cohost.org shoutout. Still two endings left to find.
Steam achievements screenshot with three unlocked: Your Coin A Splode (Ending: Destroy the Coin, 30% chance), Get Eggbugged (Ending: Say hello to an old friend, 20% chance), Heads 10X (Ending: Get heads 10 times in a row, 10% chance). And three still locked: Oops (Land the coin on its side, 20% chance), and ...? (Ending: Flip the coin too high, 20% chance)

For sure, that's where I thought most people probably gave up. But fascinating to see that people committed to playing it also bounced 6-8 hours in. It's a shame.

This is really interesting! I wonder how many people just don't like reading in-game text and focus on physical exploration, which would make the game impossible to proceed. I feel like a background in adventure games/interactive fiction helps here, you have to read everything and follow every lead.

The first I found! Guitar cat is on the back of a guy's shirt sitting at a table under an umbrella, the Chili's sign is in a random storefront

I had to remap my arrow keys to ASDF keys so they lined up visually. Totally impossible for me otherwise.

Guitar cat, kissing couple, or Chili's sign?

can i pay you $799 to humiliate me on stage in a live demo

There's an unused indoor pool at Buckman Elementary too, but good luck getting access to it. They shut it down in 2016 because of lead paint in the changing rooms. Nearly a decade later, it's still closed.

I've never played Silksong, but apparently this is pretty hard to do? He just did a deathless 100% run in Steel Soul mode with no quit-outs (i.e. quitting when you're about to die to restore from a savepoint) in a little over 12 hours.
Screenshot of end game screen: "You played masterfully and proved you have a Steel Soul. Thank you for taking the time to explore and conquer the world of Hollow Knight: Silksong. We'll meet again with a new challenge for you... Team Cherry" Game Completion: Percentage 100%, Time 12 hours 9 minutes 58 seconds

Yes! This is a really great point.

Substack recently made it impossible to migrate all paying subscribers, which was also inevitable. mail.bigdeskenergy.com/p/substack-j...
With Substack's latest launch, writers are actually ceding control of the billing relationship to Apple, which now owns and controls the subscription. These transactions, subscriptions, and customers will no longer be accessible in their Stripe account.

Most importantly, that means that if writers choose to leave Substack, they won't be able to port their paid subscriptions over to another platform like they could previously.

This predatory platform lock-in is incredibly dangerous for writers. It strips away data and control, while locking them into the platform.

I'm not going to identify them publicly, but I'm confident they're real. The photo in my post is both of them from the festival, found only on his private Instagram account. I cross-referenced his identity on LinkedIn.

A followup to my post two weeks ago, I found the couple at the center of the Will Smith AI crowd video. I wanted to know what it was like to find yourselves in the middle of a hypermodern problem: being confused for AI slop. waxy.org/2025/09/inte...
Interviewing the couple in the Will Smith AI crowd video: "The sign was real. The emotions were real too" - Waxy.org
I tracked down the couple at the center of the viral Will Smith AI concert video. What does it feel like for millions of people to think you're an AI hoax?
