Probably would help. But more than individual dorks being annoying, there just feels like a pervasive MSNBC hall monitor culture here and it just doesn’t feel as smart, weird, and genuinely hilarious as the old site (if heavily curated) used to be.

i know it betrays my low moral character, but the single con in this list is so grating to me personally that it really makes it hard to spend much time here. but also i have no friends or even acquaintances on the internet so it's simply a personal problem

i've been very poor for my entire life. like 15 years ago i saved for and bought a pair of $700 boots. i wear them near daily and they still might as well be new. i understand the whole BIFL isn't novel or particularly meaningful in the grand scheme of things, but this is such a useless "gotcha"
