I'm so glad I don't own a Tesla
Weight the block down on a sieve to drain for few hours. Pat dry. Cut in 20mm cubes. Dredge in 1Tbs cornflour 1tsp salt, plus same of cumin and paprika powder. Fry in hot oil turning from time to time until golden. Drain then add to wotever stir fry you're doing at the end to heat through. Yum

Yeah it comes across as that doesn't it? Sorry about that. Early morning banter lying in bed with heavy cold. Here's to better times

Hey how about that! Thanks

Some mountains as well, surely

Maybe my timeline doesn't include stuff that you are responding to, if so apologies. But in my line this is apropos of nothing I'm seeing?

I love the game of football. The skill of the players, the motivational techniques of the managers. But it's rotten to the core. Lowe at Soton, Brexit loving C Palace, FIFA corruption, dubious ME and US ownership, Murdoch sponsored bread and circuses. Guilty pleasure doesn't touch the sides of it.

Why the snide CD? These are coherent points. If you disagree say why. You're better than this

Interesting that she calls herself a psychotherapist when she isn't!

I feel sorry for Bethell. Hardly plays any cricket becos part of the team but never plays. Then gets his chance on THAT wicket!
December 26, 2025 at 8:36 AM
Agreed. He was remarkably good at apparently 'laying on more balls than Bianca Jagger" whatever that means, but was a placard in the day. Impossible to pluck players from different eras, but could he have played in today's Premier League? I wouldn't be sure.

And guess what happened to the original writer. Yep killed by Russia

2024. The year Luxembourg was lost to the World. Am now sitting back to wait for AI to do it's thing

That's cos the thick as pigsh*t reform voters think Scrooge is the good guy. Set up a poll that says 79 percent of lemmings think Farridge should be kicked off the cliff and they'd vote for it. Happy Xmas you stoopid Farridge supporting Turkeys

He is risen. Wrong bloke? Wrong time?

Obscure. Accessible. Beautiful. Best wishes
December 23, 2025 at 4:23 AM
Maybe. But in Thatcher times with Bobby Sands, every night TV news would have an update on his progress. And the famous clip of his mother "My son is dying". Why is there not the same traction? You can criticise UK govt re N Ireland but support for Palestine is somehow antisemitic hence suppressed?

I'd love to read it and no doubt would agree with majority. Having set him up as the Russian Tony Blair much of the vast wealth returned to Russia. It's corrupt sure, it's incompetent, a given, but Russia is hugely hugely wealthy. And vast. And should be considered a friend of US and an enemy of EU
December 22, 2025 at 5:47 PM
Sorry there was a question there. In a smaller way Ireland to UK is a little bit like Ukraine to Russia. Ireland has thrived by having access to serious amounts of capital within the EU and a far bigger market to trade in. I hope Ukraine maintains independence to grow beyond the dead hand of Russia

Good questions, I'm no apologist for that appalling state in any iteration during my post war life. But then "we" also do starving and "we" get banged up by thought police for hoping that Palestine might have a life. And "they" have vast mineral wealth 150% of US at least yet a GDP of say Italy??!!
December 22, 2025 at 5:31 PM
Adam Curtis' point was the shock doctrine encouraged by the West meant privatisation of vast state assets in fire sales that created the oligarchs. With expropriated state wealth they set up banks only to offshore the country's assets abroad. Abject poverty for the majority then. Less now?

I hope you have a great time. I really appreciate your posts. It's by no means perfect here but at least there aren't many guns. Second time plug for In The Garden Of Beasts by Erik Larson. Even more appropriate with the World Cup in US next year. Parallels are scary
